Einfach All I Need Care Argan Öl in die Handfläche geben.

I discovered via a dear friend this very nice organic and 100% Bio certified floral water, distilled of flowers of the Bulgarian rose (Rosa Damascena) from EcoMaat.
I very much like the very subtle smell and the tonic improves the absorption of the Argan Oil into my skin.
I pour a small amount of the Rose Floral Water in my hand and add 2-3 drops of Argan Oil to it. Then I gentle apply it all over my face. Done and ready to go. If you don't have a tonic at hand, always mix your Argan Oil with a tiny bit of water or apply to wet skin to improve the absorption into your skin!

How to apply argan beard oil:
Take good care of your beard with ALL I Need Care argan oil by applying the oil to your freshly washed, towel-dried beard.
For a three-day beard massage 2-3 drops of argan oil by hand on beard and skin. For a full beard, use a little more argan oil, but not too much as the beard will otherwise look greasy and unkempt. Massage the argan oil with your hand or a beard comb in your beard. Spread it all the way to your skin, especially the skin under your beard needs moisture!
GERMAN VERSION: Wie benutze ich Bartöl?]]>However, the days of argan oil cooperatives seem to be counted: What started with a noble thought became over time become a race against nature and developed into a pure cost-benefit competition, with the dominating question "How can we produce the highest amount of oil under the cheapest production conditions?". But who is losing this race? The Argan trees? The Berber women? The customer who buys the oil?
In 2003 four cooperatives founded a GIE (groupement d 'intérêt économique = community of interest), to take over the worldwide marketing and sales of the argan oil. But instead of helping the cooperatives to market and sell their argan oil, the GIE began over time to produce argan oil on their own.
By doing so, they bypassed some members who wanted to participate in the trades. The GIE handled all export permits directly and thus, the customers soon turned primarily directly to them. As a consequence, two cooperatives in the region of Essaouira dropped out of the GIE, but have been replaced immediately by four new members.
At the end of the day, the situation turned into an increasing conflict between financially well-equipped companies and destitute farmers who fight for their daily survival. The needs of the producers are much to often ignored. Therefore, it is not surprising that the Berber women became quite suspicious over the years. They longed for continuous, fairly paid work in their small cooperative, which they could fulfill with pride and dignity.
The cooperative community serves a social purpose: the women can exchange family problems while at the same time enjoying the benefits of education and a fair wage. The status of education increased, the women are proud when their children go to school instead of working on the field. Furthermore, the women become more independent because they earn their own money increasing their esteem within the family.
Unfortunately, the reality looks increasingly different and the livelihoods of the Berber women producing the argan oil are threatened by several factors:
The extreme price difference you can experience on the markt when buying argan oil are mainly explained buy point number 3. and 4.

A research team at the University of Rabat, where argan oil is subject to scientific research, found out that argan oil is capable to influence the lipid metabolism positively and thus, has a positive influence on the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
The tocopherols in argan oil act as effective antioxidants and the high share of squalene may protect against skin cancer. The sterols in argan oil also show anticarcinogenic potential and furthermore help to reduce cholesterol levels.
Applied on the skin argan oil helps to build up its water-lipid layer, thus improving the transport of nutrients into the skin cells. In addition, the Vitamin E contained in argan oil neutralizes free radicals and protects the connective tissue. Thereby Argan oil prevents dehydration and supports firmness and suppleness of the skin.
All these protective and moisturizing characteristics prevent in particular acne and skin allergies, and help with damaged and aging skin. Read on about the benefits of Argan Oil.

Our team at All I Need likes to use argan oil as our own carrier oil, layering essential oils and other superfood compounds to get at our most basic needs. Here are a few examples of how you can use some of these same techniques in your own routine, using your argan oil as a base.
For this one, combine 1 or 2 drops of argan oil with 1 drop of tea tree essential oil, a powerful antibacterial that also helps to heal scars while it clears. Mix with a few drops of water (or more if your skin is very sensitive). Apply to a cotton ball or pad and dab onto problem areas on your face or body. Argan oil is the perfect base for this because it’s ultra soothing and protecting, offsetting some of the drying, potentially-aggravating effects of tea tree oil.
Combine five drops of argan oil and three drops of lavender or rosemary oil and rub between your palms. After a shower, use your hands to massage your shoulders, thighs and stomach. If you have stretch marks and are trying to reduce them, the vitamin E and A present in the argan oil will help to rebalance your skin and restore elasticity. The lavender will put you into a calm state as you head toward bed for reading or listening to a soothing podcast (we recommend Tara Brach, and don’t forget about that sleep timer.) Extra tip: dry brushing is great for bringing circulation to the skin, so try this before you shower for an extra skin glow come morning.
Grapefruit oil, lemon oil, peppermint oil, and orange oil are all great mood lifters. It might sound old school, but it’s very helpful in conjunction with other mood-positive habits (like journaling, yoga, talking to close friends, acupuncture, massage, clean gut exercises, Omega 3s, sauna and short walks in the sun). Combine three drops of one of these oils with five drops of your argan oil and a few drops of water (or more if you have sensitive skin) and massage into your neck or temples while you’re waiting in your car at a red light, or watching the smoke rise from your morning coffee cup.

While traveling the world on sabbatical, I went to the Galapagos islands, one of the amazing nature preservations in the world. I was a short 20 minutes into my snorkeling trip when I encountered a saddening amount of population coming from China, and decided of course to pull it offshore. This might have come from the ship that a few days prior killed 300 tons of endangered species like hammerhead sharks. 300 tons! That is a terrible amount, and to think we are measuring lives in measures of weight is incredibly sad. This enough did not receive enough coverage. If you want to read about it, follow this link.
Everywhere I went, it felt like more unnatural disasters were occurring affecting my beautiful ocean and yours. In February 2018, I was in Asia when a massive oil spill spread across fishing grounds in Asia. It was the largest oil spill in decades, and most of the damage was invisible to the naked eye. Up to 111,000 tons of condensate- a toxic, liquid byproduct of gas production- poured into the ocean. I was devastated.
After awhile, I knew I needed to take action if I was to follow my heart and do the right thing. Supporting the following organizations became an active part of my life, something I could dedicate my passion to outside of building All I Need. Below see the organizations I support and make a contribution yourself or get involved:

]]>We were so excited to hear the news that a 14-year-old teenager was able to kitesurf across the English Channel. How inspiring is that? Adam Farrington is the teenager and student from Ferndown, and he rode his kite from Swanage Beach in English to Cherbourg-Octeville in France in just five hours and 19 minutes. Can you imagine the guts that took? (Adam, if you’re listening, we are looking for a spokesperson just like you!) The path forced him to encounter rough seas with 25 mile per hour winds, and even required him to navigate a few large container ships along the way.
More than this, while traversing the 69 miles of water on his own, he wiped out a few times and had to get himself back up. What a pro! All he needed what his own inner strength. When he had ten miles to go, he said he got cramps but kept going. Now that’s something to admire! And guess who else did this path kitesurfing in 2010? A 16-year-old named Polly Crathorne, and Richard Branson when he was 61.
Speaking of which, we love this video of women who kitesurf through their 60s and 70s. Keeping your body active is one of the best ways to keep the spirit alive. Check the kitesurf video out here and pass it along to any friend who needs some inspiration. Go kite surfers! We are an adventurous bunch.

]]>Argan Oil is a product that adds a sense of luxury to life. It’s important to bring these rituals in when we’re feeling low. At All I Need, we’re working to build a set of natural solutions for life’s problems, ones that are multi-functional and straight from the earth. One of the trickiest, most universal problems is mood, especially depression. If you’re interested in transitioning off a medication for mood, or just want to improve your mood naturally, here are a few tips from our team to you.
]]>One of the trickiest, most universal problems is mood, especially depression. It’s common all around the world to take an antidepressant and stay on it for years at a time out of fear getting off of it or not knowing other solutions. Unfortunately, they often come with hidden side effects that burden you with new issues in the future, if not in the present. If you’re interested in transitioning off a medication for mood, or just want to improve your mood naturally, here are a few tips from our team to you.
Amino acids work differently on different people. Most people respond well to 5 HTP. Take amino acid L-Tryptophan with complex B-Vitamins, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and just drink water for a half hour. Consider adding tyrosine (which can be very energizing) and l-phenylalanine. The brain uses L-Tryptophan to create serotonin by converting it into 5 HTP with the help of Vitamin B3. The brain uses 5 HTP along with Vitamin B-6 to convert into serotonin. If you’ve taken an SSRI for depression, try 5-HTP or tryptophan. If you take an SNRI, try tyrosine, DLPA or l-phenylalanine along with 5 HTP or Tryptophan if needed. (Tryptophan is like chocolate, minus the calories!)
If you’ve ever considered yourself someone with a tendency for depression, it would be a mistake to have a low-fat diet. To correct mood, start consuming large amounts of healthy fats: wild salmon, grass fed beef, avocados, fish oil, coconut oil, and grass fed butter. These ingredients create pleasure in your brain that is noticeable often within days. The reason is that your brain is mostly made up of fatty acids. Because we’re argan oil fanatics, we must mention: you can add argan oil to your diet. Ideally look for roasted argan oil and don’t heat it!
Avoid anything that could last a long time on the shelf. Even at home, start to gear yourself toward simpler, less time consuming recipes. Opt for a bowl of grains with avocado, salmon and spinach on top. Opt away from homemade pizza dough or crackers. Eat an apple for a snack. Hard-boiled eggs. Simplify a bit, and try to choose less complex food combinations - even among the healthy ones- that have a lower impact on your blood sugar (so, rice, beans and avocado, versus, creamy kale salad with Parmesan cheese, dried cranberries and apples.
Elimination diets take a lot of discipline (too much so far for me), but they’re really the cream of the crop when it comes to understanding your body’s allergies. To do them, eliminate all the possible triggers (in order of importance, these might be: gluten, dairy, coffee, nuts, alcohol, soy, legumes, nightshades) for 2 weeks to a month. Then add them in one at a time, noting any symptoms that arise.
Sugar depletes your body of Vitamin B and other nutrients needed for mental wellness.
And a lot of them. Go to the grocery store that only sells organic, pick up $20 worth of only living things, and bring them back to your home to start there. With your appetite and cravings re-arranging and normalizing, you’ll be surprised how far a small basket of fresh, seasonal, local, nutrient-dense produce will last you, and how well it will make you feel as you combine them creatively with other healthy food sources in your cabinet.
Or start taking Vitamin D. Take a short jog or walk in the park. If you’re not motivated enough for exercise, tell yourself you’ll jog two minutes and that you can stop after that. See what happens after those two minutes, knowing everything is fair game.
]]>To start, the Souss-Massa region in Southwestern Morocco is a Unesco biosphere reserve. It’s one of seven regions in Morocco and hosts about two and a half million people. The capital of the region is Agadir. Regions bordering this region are Marrakech-Safi to the north, Drâa-Tafilalet to the northeast and Guelmim-Oued Noun to the southwest. To the southeast is Algeria's Tindouf Province.
On its western side, the Souss-Massa region faces the Atlantic Ocean, with much of the coast protected by Souss-Massa National Park. Inside the region, the Anti-Atlas mountain range runs king. In the north, the Sous River runs in the valley between the Anti-Atlas and the High Atlas. At the mouth of the Sous River, you’ll find the capital of Agadir. The area is stunning. If you want a national park to visit, you might consider the Toubkal National Park in the northeastern corner of the region.
The main economic force in the region is agriculture with some seafood production, mostly generated in the Sous and Massa river basins in the northwest. The city of Agadir is a port for fishing and tourism. A city called Tiznit is legendary for its traditional silver techniques, and would be a great place to visit to explore this industry and craft. The region is also home to many women collectives who specializing in extracting argan oil. We receive it in small quantities and package it directly, without any alteration. Then it arrives to you!
Surfing and kitesurfing are also fantastic destination activities for Morocco. The coastal region north of Agadir between Taghazout is famous for surfing, attracting active sports fanatics from around the world. Essaouira, which is outside the northern border of the Souss-Massa region, is famous for both surfing and kite surfing.
Three cheers for the Souss-Massa region. Any question? Send us a message on Instagram!
